Phantom Blade Zero Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses

Phantom Blade Zero launches with two digital versions: a $59.99 standard edition and a $69.99 Digital Deluxe edition. PS5 discs are confirmed to follow in 2027. This page separates what S-GAME has confirmed from what store listings claim, so your choice does not rest on guesswork.

The decision is narrower than the marketing suggests. One edition is the game; the other is the game plus cosmetics and digital extras. Nothing in the confirmed material adds levels, stronger weapons or early access.

What do the two editions cost?

In the United States, the standard edition is $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe is $69.99. Hong Kong lists HK$328 and HK$398; mainland China, 268 and 328 yuan. The gap is the same everywhere: roughly a sixth of the base price for the extra items.

One Chinese retailer advertised the standard edition at 258 yuan before launch. That is a store discount, not an official price, and it does not apply to the Deluxe.

What is in the standard edition?

The standard edition is the complete game. S-GAME has not split the campaign, difficulty modes or weapon roster between editions, and no confirmed paid content changes combat balance. Pre-ordering either edition adds two cosmetics: a Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy attire.

What does the Digital Deluxe add?

Chinese retail listings describe four extras beyond the base game: the Wulin Legend outfit, the Mechanical Body outfit, an in-game artbook and the original soundtrack. The same listings call all of it cosmetic or digital collectible material with no effect on difficulty or weapon strength.

Steam shows only the two purchase options and does not break down the bundle, so check the PlayStation Store or S-GAME's own page for the exact item list before buying. Treat the four-item list as reported rather than officially itemised.

Are the pre-order items exclusive?

No. S-GAME's pre-order announcement states plainly that neither the Treasure Basin nor the Legacy outfit is exclusive: both also unlock through ordinary play. Pre-ordering simply gets them to you early; it does not lock other players out permanently.

That matters for anyone deciding whether to buy before launch. If you mainly want the accessory, you are paying for convenience and a head start, not for content that disappears from the game.

Can you upgrade to Deluxe later?

Not confirmed. Steam's listing shows no separate upgrade package and no DLC entries at launch, and no official material describes a paid upgrade path. If you buy the standard edition and later want the outfits, assume you will need to buy the Deluxe outright rather than pay the difference. Wait for a store-level announcement before counting on an upgrade.

Is there a physical edition?

The game launches digitally only — there is no disc on October 29 in any region. But the final trailer confirmed that PlayStation 5 physical editions are coming in 2027, in three tiers: a Standard edition, a Deluxe edition and an Ultimate Collector's Steelbook. Pricing and a firm release window are still unannounced, so if you are waiting for a disc, watch for a 2027 storefront listing rather than assuming which tier includes what.

Mainland China already has a separate collector's box tied to launch, priced at 1,199 yuan and limited to 20,000 units. It contains a WeGame Digital Deluxe code, a 1/12 scale Soul figure with alternate heads and weapons, a Blazing Lion Head necklace, a White Serpent & Crimson Viper keychain, a weapon handbook and printed material. It is a regional product sold through a Chinese retail channel, not a disc release, and it is distinct from the 2027 steelbook.

Which edition should you buy?

For most players, the standard edition is the better purchase. The campaign, all 30-plus main weapons, the Phantom Edges and every difficulty mode are in the base game, and the pre-order accessory can be earned later through normal play. The Deluxe premium buys two outfits, a soundtrack and an artbook — sensible only if you already know you want the art and music.

Two exceptions are worth considering. If you collect cosmetic sets and expect to keep the game installed for a long time, the Deluxe price difference is small relative to the total cost. If you are in mainland China and want the figure and physical items, the collector's box is the only route to them, and it already includes the Digital Deluxe content.

What is still unconfirmed

  • The exact Digital Deluxe item list on PlayStation Store.
  • Whether a Deluxe upgrade can be bought separately after launch.
  • Whether the two Deluxe outfits can ever be earned in-game.
  • Whether the Chinese collector's box will restock beyond 20,000 units.
  • Pricing, contents breakdown and release window for the three 2027 PS5 physical tiers.

Refund rules follow each storefront. Steam's standard policy applies after release; pre-orders can generally be cancelled before launch.
